Chaired by Ms. Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Adela Hussein Hammoud participating in the meetings of the sixty-second session of the Regional Committee of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean of the Iraqi delegation, in Kuwait City, for the period from 5 to 8 October this. The ministers will discuss health and high-level representatives from 22 countries and regions in the territory of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean, and partner organizations, civil society and a number of key technical health issues on the agenda of this year's conference, the most prominent: Global health security, with an emphasis on the Corona virus and the H5N1 virus Middle East respiratory syndrome Sustainable development objectives in the development plan for after 2015 Review of medical education, including the challenges and priorities, and framework Improving mental health care Assessment and monitoring of the implementation of the International Health Regulations (2005) Global Action Plan for Vaccines Prevention and control of hepatitis As well as a review of progress reports on : the eradication of polio , emergency preparedness and response, prevention of non-communicable disease prevention and control , to achieve national core capabilities of the deadline for the implementation of the International Health Regulations , universal health coverage , the regional strategy for health and the environment ,Initiative for saving the lives of mothers and children , the regional strategy for improving civil registration and vital statistics systems 2014-2019 . These reports provide an update on the implementation of the resolutions approved by the Regional Committee at previous sessions . Madam Secretary will take place on the sidelines of the meetings expanded meetings with her counterparts of the Health Ministers of the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean Region so as to contribute to the upgrading of the health situation in Iraq .
